THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is a fast growing parking management company in China.It is currently developing partnerships with property developers, property managers, and financial institutions to rapidly expand and scale its business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will serve as lead counsel supporting the company on all legal matters.Key responsibilities are:

• Drive deals with developers and owners to close; work closely with business team
• Identify and handle issues related to commercial and real estate regulations
• Ensure the company’s compliance with relevant government regulations; create standards and tools for measuring and monitoring compliance
• Liaise with developers, property agents, property managers, and outside counsel
• Draft and store all legal correspondence, contracts, reports, and documents
• Recruit, train, and manage a legal/paralegal team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree(s) from leading Chinese university; LLM or JD a plus but not required
• 5 – 7 years real estate experience in leading law firm(s) or in-house legal division(s)
• Extensive experience practicing contract law and negotiating business deals
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Fluency in Mandarin; conversational English ideal
