 THE EMPLOYER:
Our client is a Fortune 500 MNC in the sector of power & energy. It is one of top three T&D (Transmission and Distribution) players in the world.
Today, the company has set up a research center in cooperation with TsinghuaUniversity, 7 joint ventures, 1 WOFE and 5 representative offices in China.It is now looking for a high caliber candidate to join its legal team in Shanghai.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will report to the company’s General Counsel based in Shanghai. Key duties and responsibilities are:
- Draft, review and modify various legal documents
- Receive internal inquiry and provide legal advice in daily work for a wide coverage of PRC law related issues, especially contract, labor, IPR related ones
- Keep alert to laws update and conduct legal research on assigned issues
- Manage claims and collections, supervise and coordinate external law firms for arbitration/litigation affairs
- Deliver internal legal and compliance related trainings
- Take charge of routine legal documentation for corporate governance and other corporate secretariat duties when necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years general practice experience gained at either a recognized law firm or in legal team with MNC
- Law degree(s) from reputable law school(s); overseas studying experience preferred
- PRC bar qualification
- Extensive experience in areas of labor and corporate law
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Good communication, team working and time management skills
- Able to work independently
