THE EMPLOYER:

Headquartered in Europe, our client is an independent service organization, which supervises and improves maritime safety and quality worldwide. The company Asia/Pacific offers the full range of maritime services.

Currently, the company is looking for Legal Counsel, based in Shanghai, the company’s Country Office and the Area Office China.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position serves for the company’s Asia Pacific.S/he will be responsible for general legal issues in China, and communicating with the head office’s legal dept.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from a reputable Chinese law school and/or from an overseas law school
• 5 years experience in general corporate and/or labor law
• Experience in maritime/shipping – highly preferred
• PRC bar admission
• Good drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent command of English
