THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is a large private-owned conglomerate in China.The conglomerate's businesses cover property, retailing, financial service, steel and strategic investments with many subsidiary companies in each business.

Currently it is seeking a Real Estate Lawyer, to be based in Shanghai.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will play a leading role the legal department and be mainly involved in the area of real estate.Duties include:

• Handling commercial real estate development projects
• Real estate financing/construction
• Asset purchases and sales
• Leading and supervising project teams under the general supervision of management level of the company

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from reputable Chinese university; overseas educational and/or professional experience is a plus
• 5+ years real estate experience and relevant project experience, including real estate finance, investment and asset purchases and sales
• PRC bar qualification
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities under pressure so as to provide a timely and effective value-added legal service
• Team player
