THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is one of the world's largest solar module producers. As a leading provider of photovoltaic cells, modules and custom-designed solar power applications, the Group delivers uncompromising value to its customers across the globe.

As a key market, the Group’s business in China is mature. Currently, it is seeking China Legal Director, to be located in Suzhou.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take charge of handling the Group’s legal affairs in Asia, and provide legal support to the European areas.S/he will report to the General Counsel of the Group.In specific, duties include:

• Manage of all legal affairs in China including all Chinese subsidiaries and Asia
• Assist the General Counsel with legal affairs in Europe and North America if necessary
• Interface with other departments, co-ordinate legal affairs among subsidiaries and provide legal training to them
• Guide litigations and arbitrations
• Assist the General Counsel with SEC reports and public disclosure requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• LLM from a reputable Chinese law school; a Master degree from European country – preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience; work experience in foreign law firm(s) from Europe and / or America – must
• PRC bar qualification – must; Europe bar qualification – preferred
• Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Able to work under pressure
