THE EMPLOYER:

Founded in 2002, our client is one of the largest providers of online game value-added service and online game consulting service in China. Headquartered in Shanghai, the company has branches in several main cities in China and employs over 500 people.

Currently, the company is seeking a Legal Director based in Shanghai.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the legal team, handle all legal related matters and support the daily operation of the company.In particular, duties include:

• Provide advice and support on risk management, compliance and other legal related matters to internal business units and improve the corporate governance
• Review, draft and negotiate various agreements, contracts and documents
• Be involved in the projects of assets restructure, joint ventures and M&A
• Manage claims, disputes, mediations, litigations and arbitrations on behalf of the company
• Build the legal team and provide legal training

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from a reputable university
• PRC Bar Qualification
• 8+ years of relevant experience; 3+ years of experience with the legal division of a large-scale corporate
• Experience in dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration
• Experience in M&A, JV, overseas listings and business negotiation
• Experience in online game industry and e-business corporate is a plus
• Good written and communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Good management skill
• Openness, responsive, proactive team player and self-motivated
