THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is a multinational industrial company with a long history.It is a leading company which manufactures industrial tooling and equipment on 50+ production sites in over 20 countries.The company employs more than 25,000 people worldwide.

Currently, it is seeking a Corporate Counsel based in Shanghai.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide daily general legal support for the company’s business in China
• Work closely with Legal Group in providing legal advice and support for strategic business activities in China, including M&A, company incorporation and restructuring and licensing activities
• Provide a good understanding of IP laws and its implementation in China and protect and defend the company’s IP rights
• Negotiate, draft and review legal documents and contracts
• Provide training to internal staff on relevant regulatory / compliance requirements and general legal and risk management issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of working experience with track record experience in multinational company or reputable law firm
• PRC Bar Qualification
• Solid experience in M&A, foreign investment enterprises establishing and restructuring, commercial transactions and arrangements
• Excellent communication and drafting skills in both English and Chinese
• High ethics, openness, responsive, proactive team player and self-motivated
• Be willing to travel as requested
• Good command of Microsoft Office software
