DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take a role in corporate area. Duties include:

• Studies Constitution, statutes, decisions, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies
• Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for corporation
• Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit
• Acts as agent of corporation in various transactions
• Represents corporation in litigation and other legal proceedings
• Advises corporation concerning transactions of business
• Prepares business contracts and administers other legal matters
• The deputy general counsel helps the company develop litigation strategies, evaluates business operations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree or equivalent, major in Law
• 4 - 10 years related experience and/or training with legal division(s) in multinational company and/or reputable law firm
• Experienced in government relations (national and local level), in depth knowledge and experience in general government practices with good government connection
• Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Good business acumen and ability to quickly identify the major issue in complicated deal/contract
• High ethics, openness, responsive, proactive team player and self-motivated
