THE EMPLOYER:
Based in USA, this is a multinational corporation that designs and markets consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers.The company operates over 200 retail stores in 10 countries worldwide.
Currently, the company is seeking an Employment Attorney based in Shanghai.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for employment related legal matters throughout Asia.Duties include:
- Provide advice and counsel to management and Human Resource professionals on a broad range of PRC employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline and terminations, internal investigations, employee arbitration, and employee privacy matters
- Prepare and conduct employment law training programs for HR and management
- Formulate and revise HR policies, and manage outside counsel on employment litigation matters
REQUIREMENTS:
- Law degree from a leading university
- 7+ years of relevant experience of providing advice to multi-national organizations with Asia and PRC operations; experience with leading in-house and / or international law firm is a plus
- Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Strong client relation skills and experience working directly with management
- Self motivated with excellent time management skills
- Sense of humor and commitment to professionalism
- Willingness to travel as requested
