THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is an international law firm with more than 2,500 lawyers in 30+ offices worldwide.Across three China offices (Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong), there are more than 100 lawyers who are significantly involved in the China practice.

Currently, the firm is looking for qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Corporate Associate, to be located in Shanghai.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take an important role and provide legal advice in the Corporate area. In general, responsibilities include:

• Advise international clients on M&A deals in China
• Draft various agreements and transaction documents
• Represent clients in various transactions
• Conduct legal research and prepare memos

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from reputable law school(s)
• PRC bar or any recognized bar qualification — required
• 4 – 7 yeas of relevant experience; experience with international law firm is required
• Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Good leadership skill and organizational skill
