THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is an international law firm with more than 2,500 lawyers in 30+ offices worldwide.Across three China offices (Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong), there are more than 100 lawyers who are significantly involved in the China practice.

Currently, the firm is looking for qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Middle to Senior Corporate/Commercial Associate, to be located in Beijing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take an important role and provide legal advice in the Corporate/Commercial area. In general, responsibilities include:

• Advise foreign and Chinese clients (including corporate, investment banks and PE houses) on FDI / M&A and PE deals in China and/or on outbound investments by PRC key clients
• Draft various transaction documents in English and Chinese
• Supervise and lead teams
• Negotiate on behalf of clients
• Direct client facing role

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from reputable law school(s)
• PRC bar or any recognized bar qualification is preferred
• 4 – 7 yeas of relevant experience; experience with a top international law firm is required
• Substantial PRC FDI experience is preferred
• Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Superior client relationship management skills
• Ability to run transactions and teams with a minimum of supervision
• Good work ethic
