THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is an international law firm with more than 1,500 lawyers in 20+ offices worldwide.Across three China offices (Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong), there are more than 100 lawyers who are significantly involved in the China practice.

Currently, the firm is looking for qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Middle to SeniorConstruction/Project Contract Lawyer, to be located in Beijing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will take an important role and provide legal advice in the Construction/Project Contract area. Responsibilities include:

• Advise international project sponsors and financiers, as well as Chinese / Japanese construction and engineering groups on construction and commercial contracts across a wide range of industries
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents in English and Chinese
• Supervise and lead teams
• Direct client facing role

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from reputable law school(s)
• PRC bar or any recognized bar qualification is preferred
• 3 – 7 years of relevant experience; experience with a top international law firm is required
• China construction experience is preferred
• Excellent drafting and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Superior client relationship management skills
• Ability to run transactions and teams with a minimum of supervision
• Good work ethic
