Firm lawyers advise financial institutions, commercial enterprises and state and regulatory bodies on complex and critical legal matters.The firm is structured around six global practice areas: banking and finance; capital markets; corporate M&A; litigation and dispute resolution; real estate; tax, pensions and employment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The core responsibility of this position is updating firm lawyers on new law in China.S/he will brief lawyers monthly on new legal developments.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s know-how database.Legal research for the firm’s client projects is not a required part of the job.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of relevant experience with know-how work in legal practice
- PRC qualification — preferred;excellent candidate without bar qualification will be considered
- Good drafting skills; competent to draft documents in English
- Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
