THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is one of the world’s largest law firms and listed among top international law firms.The firm operates as one team for China projects, engaging lawyer in its Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong offices in projects.

The firm is seeking a Labor Lawyer to join its Shanghai office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will provide legal support in the area of labour law for China, and conduct due diligence on HR aspects of M&A work, including:

• Non-contentious labour law advice
• Drafting of all forms of labour related agreements
• Familiarity with contentious procedures
• Social Security law advice
• Immigration law advice
• Share schemes and related tax treatment
• Data privacy
• Cross- border labour movement and income tax issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from top tier university
• PRC bar qualification; a second legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction is not required but an added advantage
• 4+ years of relevant experience in the area of labour law
• Excellent written and communication skills in English and Chinese
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Efficient, well organized and conscientious
• Team player
