THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is a prominent Shanghai-based law firm with a close network of more than ten offices in the United States and Europe.

The firm’s Corporate team advises — a broad range of clients who are investing and doing business in China — on joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, international syndicated loans, private equity investments, equipment leasing, project financing, and other commercial business matters.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate is expected to take the leadership of projects in the key areas of M&A, Finance & Banking, and Securities including:

• Representing foreign and domestic corporations in various transactions
• Negotiating and drafting transaction documents
• Supervising legal research and mentoring junior attorneys

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8 -10 years of work experience; at least 3 years with foreign law firm(s)
• Practice experience focused on Corporate including M&A, Finance & Banking, Securities
• LLM or JD from top law school; US education — preferred
• PRC bar or any recognized bar qualification
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Good market sense and business acumen
