 THE EMPLOYER:
Our client is a Washington DC-based law firm. It has a broad practice in the areas of regulatory law, litigation, and business transactions, serving both domestic and international clients.
The Shanghai office was established in 2004.Currently, the firm’s Shanghai office is looking for a Senior Associate to join them.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and counsel clients on regulatory issues mainly focusing on food, drug, chemical, packaging, etc.Duties include:
- Advice clients on various regulatory issues
- Draft, negotiate and review legal documents
- Maintain and develop good cooperative relation with clients
- Supervise legal research and mentor junior attorneys
REQUIREMENTS:
- LLM degree from a reputable law school; Juris Doctor degree is preferred; US education background is a plus
- 5+ years of experience with leading international law firm(s) and / or legal division of MNC(s)
- Relevant experience with regulatory affairs focusing on food, drug, chemical, packaging, etc. is required
- Excellent drafting and communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Strong business acumen
