THE EMPLOYER:

A reputable Australia law firm is looking for Associate focused on the area of Banking & Finance, based in its Shanghai office.

This commercial law firm is among the largest law firm in Australia and provides wide range of legal services to clients mainly in Asia-Pacific region.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will join the Banking & Finance team in the firm’s Shanghai office on various China and Asian based Banking & Finance matters.Duties include:

• Act for clients on inbound and outbound financing matters, general corporate secured financing, finance leasing, financial regulatory and compliance, structured products and derivatives
• Draft various agreements and legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare memos
• Participate in client meetings and negotiation sessions

REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree from reputable university
• 1 -2 years of post experience in Banking & Finance transactions in China
• Similar experience in a local PRC law firm and corporate transactions
• Good written and oral skills in English and Chinese
• Good organizational, negotiation and time management skills
• Team-player, result-oriented and proactive
